WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE??? ITS DRIVIN ME NUTS!

Posted 5 months ago

....I had just finished a long, elequent, graceful, witty, exposition on the great Sonic Youth, whom i've been listening to alot today, I expounded on their unique talents & unmatched approach to coming at rocknroll from the most extreme angle possible. I had great turns of phrase & jaw dropping bits of insight & revelation. Hell, after reading what I'd written, dermahrk himself wouldda become a card carryin fan. But you're never gonna get the chance now......cause when i hit "Publish".......I WAS ASKED TO SIGN IN AGAIN!!! And having done so.....ALL EVIDENCE OF MY BRILLIANCE WAS AS GONE AS KEITH RICHARDS" BLOOD!!!!

...Now, before any chuckleheads write to remind me to compose in another format & then paste it onto the MOG......Why don't you just tell me water is wet. You see....I'm the king of the chuckleheads!!.

...OK...so this is Kim Gordon, DJ Olive & Ikue Mori. In my last essay I had many wonderful things to say about each one of these people but my single typing digit needs a break.

...If by chance you end up reading this.....thats good....there won't be a fataly shot computer in norther RI.

It has happened to me a lot lately. MOG has been giving me so many problems posting- you notice I'm not posting much- because I don't trust MOG to publish it or that the little button song will work if it does publish.

MOG will sign me out after less than an hour. That little box to click of you want to be remembered on your computer, does nothing.

The best defense I have found it to select all copy, hit copy, then try to publish. If you have been signed out, you can sign in again, open another post and paste it back in with the mp3 reference and all.

    Good Luck, Jeff

Now I'm going to select all this copy, hit copy and publish- in case I've been signed out and have to do it again.

that frekkin sucks. but water is wet and mog is a damn sonnofabitch. i get this please sign-in again thing every time i make a post. which is really annoying in that I always...(repeat that: ALWAYS) have to sign in twice and make the post...twice. if I had something better to do I might just resign myself to doing it

Even in the hills of Clackmannanshire, north of the Firth of Forth, MOG chews up posts between their writing and their publication on the electric interwebulator, Mr Deceased

yup. only in my case I hit the back button for some reason. I don't see why they couldn't keep the prose stored in cache or a temp file that could be recovered.

Draft isn't a great solution either, since they get posted.

But what do I know. I'm just a poor Captain trying to find my way.

Damn. It's a bitch. Like others, I will not allow myself to be burned by wonky publishing systems. I write in Word then cut 'n' paste. But I too encounter inopportune sign-outs - and the need to repost due to tech jams. I sympathize - and refuse to give up. I'm just too MOGgy to not MOG.

While I agree that anything Important should be first written outside of the mog  program. I do think that perhapse a better Sonic Youth song shoulda been used in this post. May I suggest hits of sunshine?

This may be proof that MOG is test-driving a quality editor.

Love the new avatar, by the way.

And, no matter how close to Obama-eloquence you may come, a pig is still a pig despite the efforts of Estee Lauder. Sonic Youth still suck.

Yes- it happened to me, too, with a post I was prepping after seeing the Psychedlic Furs at a tiny (220 people) club.

Just about to publish and it was- poof- gone with the wind.

I now do word + paste or, at least, highlight and hit CTRL c to copy it and then paste it in with CTRL v.

Have to say, though, this music isn't for me. Sounds like goofing around in the studio and not much else.

But, to each his own so you are welcome to it.
