SUNDAY UNDER COVERS WITH XIU XIU

So there's this band called Xiu Xiu and they sing a cover of the David Bowie/Queen collaboration: **under Pressure**That's about as much as I know. This is lifted from a mix I've been given.(and thanks for the pics)

    Bartleby says Xiu Xiu belongs to those bands that I've discovered recently only to find out they've existed since 2002 (It does take time for a band to get to me although I like to think that it takes that much time for a band to mature enough for my appreciation ;)

    Jenny Tatone says Xiu Xiu have some incredible albums, haunting and depressing, but really moving, if you're into that kind of thing ... I especially like La Foret and Women as Lovers is supposed to be very good.

    dermahrk says I like the jangly intro. Then, instead of harmony they go for the melody sung by two people in different octaves. Then the jazzy discordant sax solo. And they start talking the lyrics. To hell in a handbasket.
