Ain't Gonna Go To Hell For Anybody

..........A track from Dylan's much maligned "Born Again" era. Yes, much maligned and unfairly so. Dylan & his gospel troupe put on some exciting incendiary(?) shows with some incredible music. This track.."I Ain't Gonna Go To Hell For Anybody" is a good case in point. A moving testament to the power of faith, the song slowly transforms from a quiet contemplative rumination to a fire & brimstone scorched declaration of independence. Its one of those tracks that shouldda, couldda, wouldda........

He sounds Full of energy on this one for sure.

My poor wife - has a roommate in the rehab center who keeps getting visited by the religious - who pray, and chant, and sing. Maybe if BOB showed up, it would be tolerable...

The lyrics grew on me.  His lyrics usually have some mystery lurking within.  During his Born Agian period I had taken a break from him, so this track approaches me for the first time.  Did those unfair maligners get specific?

P.S.  Great choice of visuals.  Breugel?  Durer?

Wow- nice and lively! And you can even discern many of his lyrics! I saw Dylan a couple of years ago (with a superb solo opening set by Elvis Costello) and Bob was Mr Mumbles the entire show. Could barely understand a word all night.

Hugely disappointing- and a hardcore fan told me this was actually better than the last time he saw him!

    ?!
