WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

WHEN IT ALL COMES TOGETHER

Posted 4 months ago

As I head out to party my boney ass off I have high expectations (nyuk, nyuk). At my parties music is always an integral part of the proceedings. Oh, the first half of the day will be a fairly typical PG rated cookout with burgers, dogs, & chips & stuff. (Chilli, chicken wings, myriad salads, beans, rabbitt, & who knows what folks will bring) But as the day blends into late afternoon, early evening, the fire gets lit ( No comments), the guitars & what not start comin out and when it all comes together....well, words fail me. (No comments).

....This track has always been a favorite from K.C.'s mid period. I thought it the perfect aural illustration of a piece finally coming together & then ending too soon.

As far as your party plans are concerned, only good can come from it.  It couldn't happen to a wittier guy.  [Please ignore the dark interpretation of that sentence that just occurred to me.]

If any of King Crimson's other cuts are this good, I'm going to have to check them out.

Crimson! Hot damn, dmdm! Always been a real fancier of Frippery, but then again, I like a challenge. (Speaking of which, the second surgery was this past week. They say it went well. Now for the rehab!)

Somehow I suspect that when the guitars come out this song will not emerge.
