WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

TWILIGHT ON SUNDAY MORNING UNDER THE COVERS

This is such a poignant lyric.**Robbie Robertson's** minor gem seems to be (IMHO) one of those songs that just _cannot_ be done badly.Heaven knows **Jerry Lee Lewis** tried, he even collaborated with Robbie, and though the song came out pretty good, it still lacked the proper ambience.I don't think the Band ever nailed it completely, there are several 'officially released outtakes' in addition to the original and though each of them has it's charms, to me they don't quite nail it in any of them. This version, by **Shawn Colvin** comes closer, I think, to capturing the melancholy air of the lyric.
