This is the second time I post this on the MOG. What can I say? I'm not sure if its a breach of etiquette or not to repeat a song, but my thinking is this; there are many more folks 'here' now than there were then, and perhaps they'd like to hear it as well. And of course its an incredible performance of a classic from the short-lived but loads of fun sub-genre of Hot Rod songs. With roots in rockabilly as translated through the sun-drenched Surf Music sound of the early sixties, Hot Rod songs were poppin' up all over the place. **Beep Beep** , **Hey Little Cobra** , **409** , and many others were very common staples of the airwaves and juke boxes of early sixties America.Charlie Ryan's **Hot Rod Lincoln** was a small regional hit in 1962(?)**Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen** (with Bill Kirchen on lead guitar) had a big hit with the song in the early 70's(?) (I'm too lazy/rushed to look this shit up so I'm rakin' my headbone for memories). So where were we? Oh Yeah, **Bill Kirchen** and his trio **Too Much Fun** never fail to deliver. One of +THE+ tightest trio's in rock history and certainly one of the least known.A pity. These guys have got the chops.
