WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

You Didn't Think I'd Miss Sunday Under Cover, Did You?

Posted 6 months ago

When an established star offers a young musician a first chance to record.....He doesn't really expect the young musician to walk out of the sessions upset at having to do so many takes of the same song. But Harry Belafonte found out the hard way....One or two takes...that's it. That's all Bob Dylan wanted to do. This is not the track that was eventually released on "Belafonte". This is a rejected take that Dylan thought was perfect.

I'm a little surprised. Among all of his many talents, his harmonica skills are near the bottom. People hired him for sessions?

He misses a bend or two, beginning with that solo, interesting find.  Zimmy thought this was perfect?
