MONDAY MONDAY, CAN'T TRUST THAT DAY.

Life is an endless series of decisions and consequences. Some believe their paths are pre-determined. Some believe they determine their own path. This track by The Band was recorded during the band's very troubled post-success period. The Rock Star lifestyle was taking it's toll, and the music, while still superior, was seen by many as a step backwards, or worse.Todd Rundgren, who produced this album, had to weedle and cajole the songs from a bunch of drunken junkies. In many ways this cd is Garth Hudson's showpiece. His amazing rainbows of sound have been reined in somewhat though his Lowery Organ still amuses and amazes.
