I am one who loves a good snowstorm........and we had one last night...I measure 13 inches in the back yard. The sun has not yet reemerged and so its a very "flat" light out there.....somehow making the snow impossibly white...not "hurts the eyes to look at" white.....More like the world has been buried in marshmellow fluff. There is something about an unmolested expanse of snow that just takes my breath away.
.......And then of course there's shoveling, a task reviled by many.....but I dig the shit out of it. (not a bad pun, just an unfortunate choice of words.) With the trusty ipod (thanks again MOG), a little "leaf"....shoveling is relaxation.

And as I was relaxing this morning...this song by Lambchop came up in the shuffle...somehow, it seemed an apt selection.

I've about had it with snow. And though I agree with your poetic rendering, I'll feel better when me nose ain'ta running and me feet ain'ta smellin ... (good song, by the by)

You can keep the snow confined to the area outside of whatever crypt you call home, but keep the good music coming. I am not familiar with the band Lambchop, but I do know the puppet.....
AnnMK.....As Much as I love snow...........I am so ready for springtime!
well, the snow missed me, but not the cold...I don't think there's much worse than waking up to 13 degrees after a week of 50s. sovel well dmdm, keep the tuneage cranked!
who or what controls the shuffle dimension? It has such an eerie prescients
Out here in Southern Cali we almost had rain the night of the Oscars. Nice track.
I'd love to have a look through your PC DM2. The music and the pics you post represent a very eclectic collection of all you get your hands on.
I can see how this tune would go well with shovelling. Good on ya!
Good thing you are so experienced at shoveling the deep stuff.
Nice! Hope the leaf treated you well, I know it did me right when I was shoveling yesterday.
Nice song, I have a feeling Ive heard that before, maybe? never had snow at the back door though, now that is cool
Only boring rain here. Reading your post, I now hope someday to visit somewhere where I get to shovel some snow again. Lambchop's arrangement was quite sprightly, with the guitar and piano interweaving nicely between verses. Even with good headphones, the lyrics were too unprojected and buried in the mix to decipher. A good Durer engraving like that sooths me.
Hi Spike, good to hear from you. Yeah, I spent some time tryin' to decipher some of the more unintelligible passages & gave up. But the snippets that can be made out....are interesting.
