MELT-PROOF AND SCRATCH-RESISTANT

BONNIE RAITT.....She's Wasted And Can't Find Her Way Back Home.

Posted 8 months ago

Thank you inrumford for this post. Bonnie Raitt is a treasure. She is among that elite group of archivists who's encyclopedic knowledge of roots music is awe inspiring & humbling. And if she were a guy folks would be much more atuned to her prowess on the guitar. This beautiful rendition of the Blind Faith Classic "I Can't Find My Way Home" is about perfect. Eschewing the affectations of being "wasted" in the substance abuse sense, Ms Raitt's wearyness is an affliction of the soul, leavened with a bittersweet sadness but not devoid of hope. But maybe I;m hearing too much into this......whatever its a great song well done.

A beautiful cover by Bonnie. Your sleeping beauty is going to have some serious arm pain and possible nerve damage.

few can touch Bonnie Raitt in her prowess of the steel guitar of those early 70's recordings, Its too bad she has let others led her away from these heartfelt recordings in the later years.
