Ahhhhhh.......Ringo. A bit "under The (influence) weather" for The Concert For Bangla Desh....At this point he'd had one hit...you'd think he'd remember the words to it.
So, I'm trying to put enough words here so the political stuff would not appear in the main part of the post. I'm probably there now so...........
I am deeply troubled by some of the policy reversals President Obama has signaled. He's playing a deadly game & taking a hell of a gamble. If he's wrong America will truly stand alone (with Israel) in facing the Mad Mullahs in Iran. He has trashed 30 yrs of policy, very careful coalition building & consensus building has been flushed, it seems, without letting any of our allies know. Extremely risky
And his decision to reverse government policy on gov't funding for embryonic stem cell research ( a field with sparse private investment because in twenty years of research not a single development has warranted further investment). Commiting gov't monies to such a cause is already causing a firestorm of criticsm from centrists & the right as being needlessly devisive & fiscally irresponsible.

Well, there has been such widespread bitching about the steps Bush took to keep us safe, I suppose it's natural for the pendulum to swing in the other direction.
If these new policies are taken advantage of and we or Israel are attacked again, watch out...
