Miles from Belafonte...dressed in the cold sterile disco..yet the vocal delivery waivers between satire & something with fangs.
Odd that the grand old man of Funk, the man who took James Brown's creation & through genetic modification developed a truly unique sound, could (or would) leap into the soul-less world of techno-disco......and yet there's that vocal, laughing, grinning, tap-dancing, juggling knives & chainsaws. A smoldering vicious humor lies buried within.
