Doug Kershaw is the Ragin Cajun. His swampy brand of rootsrockcajunstomp is an addicting brew. A formidable guitarist and a wildly eclectic fiddler based in the thick gumbo/zydeco infused style, his raw rustic sound is the sound of the humid dancefloor on a Saturday night where sweaty bodies celebrate the pulse and the rhythms. The sound of music holding the world at bay for awhile while bodies glorify movement.

    Spike says Amen. I didn't realize he is such a good guitarist and plays rock as well as cajun. Deadman, I identify with your phrase "the sound of music holding the world at bay for awhile." Now if only I could convince my body to get sweaty celebrating the pulse and the rhythms, but it prefers being repressed.
