YAY! SUNDAY COVERS AGAIN (this time for sure!)

The Box Tops' take on the Procol Harum's classic is lighter, not so ponderous, IMHO, and though Alex Chilton does his best Gary Brooker imitation, his reading is infused with a disolute resignation that almost brings the gibberish lyric alive.

    dermahrk says Hmm, I never knew the Box Tops covered this. Interesting, not bad. But they keyboards in the Procol Harum version really add to it, and are missed here. I guess Procol Harum are considered prog rock by some but, if so, how can I like them so much?
