WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

All This And World War Two!

Posted over 2 years ago
All This And World War Two was an odd little film and soundtrack from back in the days of vinyl. It featured an All-star cast of performers covering various Beatle songs juxtaposed over archival footage from World War Two.Keith Moon, Aerosmith, The Bee Gees were among many others who contributed to this mess. To me the whole thing was a waste because the orchestral music that accompanied the stars was bland and unimaginative. But Ambrosia's track is quite nice, I think you'll agree.

  1. ivylander says This, on the other hand, is to my mind one of the Beatles' slightest, least interesting songs. This is pleasant, and the arrangement does do a lovely job with the bridge, but it doesn't raise the song the way a great cover version (in my humble opinion) should. Still, it's an interesting near-miss....
