So, for the first time since 2002, I went and saw Blue October the other night. The last time I'd seen them was at La Zona Rosa when Endochine opened up for them. They were drawing pretty well back then - well enough to fill up La Zona Rosa with 1200 alcohol starved drinkers, so this was interesting for me. First, the venue. Here's a shot that I took of it when I toured there earlier this year.
Whitewater Amphitheater, located at a bend in the Guadalupe River, is pretty much the ultimate outdoor venue. It's fully equipped with tables (VIP), and VIP boxes, along with plenty of places for folks to enjoy the show. The best part? The "floor" is tiered, so that everyone at the back of the venue can see the stage clearly.With that ... on to Blue. Here's the only image I could recover from my friend's camera.
They put on a really fantastic show! I was extremely impressed by it.
