WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Brianstorm, Arctic Monkeys

They may be over rated to the point of annoyence, but as this very poor radio rip proves, those lads from Sheffield can still pump out a really, really, really awesome tune every now and then. A lot more aggressive than anything from their first album, and this time with a good bassist and Klaxons producer James Ford, this is a really promising sign that almost washes the horrible taste of Leave Before The Lights Come On out.Almost.Plus, if this upload dosn't work, don't blame me. Blame them.

  1. annnna says I was surprised to hear they have a new album coming out. Was it really that long ago their old one came out? Are the Arctic Monkeys overrated? I didn't know they got so much attention, I thought they weren't a very big band.

  2. davis64 says They were probably the biggest band in Britain last year - they had two number one singles, a record selling album and have won loads of awards. Because of that they got promoted by the press as some sort of musical saviors, and of course a small backlash started to develop because they really weren't that good. I think that bringing out an album only about 16 months after their first is to try and make sure that backlash dosn't fully grow. They also probably don't want to live of old songs. But hey, I'm not in the band, so what do I know?
