Artist: David Sophia Siegel Album: Theatrical and Filmic Musics Track: Snake - Stalking Music

So this is something I scared up for a film project early this year. It's for when a character is stalking another character, more or less. It's a comedy, so it's not very scary stalking. The movie is called "The Snake" and it's yonder:

And it does indeed have Margaret Cho in it! Pretty cool. I'm excited to be a part of it, and I have a great time doing this song. Hope you enjoys...

I freaking love this song. I heard the recent William Shatner/Joe Jackson/Ben Folds version, and it too is quite exciting. There is no way to make this song unexciting. Even with its thorough Britishness. My god.

Pulp's "Different Class" album is a solid mid-90's explosion of rock & roll goodness. I can't get enough of it. I mean, it's not quite "69 Love Songs" by Magnetic Fields - that album I REALLY can't get enough of. But Pulp's magnificence was never more observable than on tracks like "Common People." Delightful! Absolutely delightful.

And the Shatner version isn't too bad either. In its Shatneriality.

Artist: David Sophia Siegel Album: Theatrical and Filmic Msuics Track: Redemptive Song

So, my rock band played a show last week, and it was all right - could've been better, could've been worse - but we got a recording of it, and maybe I'll post a track or two eventually, but for now I'm thinking on music with more of a folk tradition - was listening to some music by Luminescent Orchestrii and found it enjoyable (maybe I'll post some o' dat sometime soon)... and I thought to myself, "Dang it, I have some non-pop/rock music I can post!" And so I do.

I call this track "Redemptive Song" because it has that kind of tone of redemption. It's a soft one, to be sure. And I wouldn't say it's a perfect song. But it's a song that has a warm place in my hearty-heart and so I wanted to share.

Again, it's not a rock song; it's more like what I call "semi-classical," or otherwise "film music," perhaps. I distribute it with my "Theatrical and Filmic Musics" CD demo. I hope you enjoy it. I feel more attached to it than I do to my rock music, which is more of a shield; it's easier to deflect opinions with it. This music is much more emotional & open but I think it's pretty and would like to share.

I hope you enjoy.
