Looking through Branford's digital collection is like peaking into his fridge! It's what feeds his musical appetite. Welcome Bran! Loving the Blind Willie Johnson.

Welcome Branford!
You created some of my favorite musical moments as a guest member of the Grateful Dead on several occasions.
I can close my eyes and hear the ripping sax on Help> Slip> Franklin's from Madison Square Garden

Hope this is the real deal. Had the pleasure of interviewing him after he extracated himself from the "Tonight Show" bandleader position. Honest and charming guy - and, needless to say, a major talent. And I just saw his father conjure some sonic bliss on the piano at Snug Harbor in NoLa. What a family!

I was deep into my teens when I bought my first Branford Marsalis record and my love for his music has grown steadily ever since. After seven years of fandom, I finally saw Marsalis' Quartet play live last summer, and the satisfaction I felt afterwards is still palpable to me even today.
If I don't make it to "Jazz Fest":http://www.nojazzfest.com/ in May to see this man perform...it's not going to be pretty.
