   deadmandeadman says When I see how young they all were, i'm saddened, and more than a little melancholy. Rick was clearly blitzed, and had the enthusiasm of a child sharing his favorite loves; comaraderie & music. His amazing voice sounded good with anyone's. He was not a "good" singer, by most conventional definitions, but lord he could put a song across!!

   bobglaza says happy new year back to you, dh - gratefully, the Festival Express got this bunch back safely. While liquor reared its ugly head - music the drug that kept them fueled - sorta like this MOG thing. The best in 2007!

   moovyphreak says I've had that documentary in my Netflix queue for ages. I have just bumped it to the top, so thanks for the reminder. Did y'all hear about the Janis Joplin biopic that is in the works? The film is currently in pre-production and will be helmed by Penelope Spheeris (THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION I-III, WAYNE'S WORLD) and Zooey Deschanel will be playing Janis.
