In her memoir, Grace Slick mentions during her account of a brief casual hookup with him during a European tour, that she could never figure out what he was talking about, that his syntax was basically incomprehensible.
i remember that
Always love Mr. Mojo Risin, though I didn't fall into it until eighth grade, it was like some strangr rite of passage. We all passed around the same copy of No One Here Gets Out Alive, good stuff.
yeah. that was the book that did it for me. i wish i still had my book report i did on it! probably that book is responsible for my years of over-indulgence and rebellion. bastard!
HA! We tried to do that but the word was out. Our English teacher told us that anyone who tried to do that would be repeating the class during the summer. Later on, I saw the movie and that was pretty much it for me. My fate had been set, and years later, here I am.
i played the stuff so much, i had to take a 20 year break. i think i'm ready again to turn on the spigot.
i just did that with steely dan. they're all of a sudden, back on for me.
pink floyd? i ain't turning that shit on again. : )
Yeah--I took a long sabbatical from the Doors too. Lately I've really been craving their music. Weirdly enough, I forgot it was b-day--been spinning their music for days.
Floyd I put away for years too--they have also come back full force into my listening all over again however.
