  2. blueone51 says A great Chicago band - arose out of the much missed Red Red Meat. Check out their '03 release "Quicksand/Cradlesnakes".

  3. cherbonsy says Their gig at The Getty Museum last week was brilliant; there's a blurb about it on the bottom half of "this page":http://www.getty.edu/visit/events/distributed_memory.html. If you ever have the chance to see Green's animations of their song/stories, by all means check it out.

  7. soda says Saw them in Portland a few days ago - outstanding show. I love Tim Rutilli's voice along with the drone of the guitar, organ, loops and precussion miscallany. They've also achieved a nice balance of structured songs and experimental math rock in their live show. Try to hunt down Jimmywine Majestic by his previous band, Red Red Meat. They also consistently have the best T shirts.

  9. extraordinarypoems says I don't know anything about this artist, but I have an old Caliphone phonograph on which I play all my old albums, so I need to play Califone on my Caliphone. And I really don't want to think about "roots and crowns" since I need to see the dentist about both.

  10. foolonthehill says I'm with tybees . . . took a few listens, but now I love it. Sounds like it's time for me to pick up the vinyl?
