I doubt you even knew I was gone :)
But please do understand that despite what some have said in our absence, the past week was done only out of incredible affection for what you have created. MOG isn't ??just?? a website for many of us.
And I, for one, am glad to be back.

David, you do resemble Gabe Kaplan...
except for the hair, and the nose...and maybe not the suit and tie...or even the eyebrows...and Gabe Kaplan has fuller lips then you do. I don't think he is as tall as you either...but then, I may be wrong...what do I know?

Amber, have I missed something? I didn't catch anybody being badmouthed for staying away this week - some people, among them me, talked about the reasons we chose not to be part of the "strike," but I didn't see any questioning of the motives or character of those who did get involved. If that did happen, that's unfortunate and, to my mind, a mistake. I'm just glad you guys are showing up again. It was a lonely week....

*Good to be back !!!* :) Missed the MOG sompin fierce !!! As Amber stated above - we did it all for the love of MOG & missed y'all maybe even more than you missed us !!!
(Bill - I caught wind of a few - but let's just call it a draw & get back to having the good times we're all well known for) Hells bells - even I was rockin the MOGmeet love whilst on my sabbatical...
Still have the 45 of "Up Your Nose With A Rubber Hose" from Gabe Kaplan. David...you should know that the artist is not Kotter but in fact John B. Sebastian from The Lovin' Spoonful who had two number one records about a decade apart. First "Summer In The City" with his band in the sixties and later in the seventies as a solo artist with "Welcome Back". Don't know if MOG or Rhapsody did that or if you labeled it wrong. *lol
The Lovin' Spoonful had a remarkable feat on the charts back in the sixties when their first seven singles all hit the top ten. Wow! The band was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2000 too.
Hey...we noticed that you're having the same problem that we're having. The play button is frozen on one play. Hope that bug works itself out soon.
Remembering that producer James Komack (in addition to his acting and directing) was on a roll in the seventies. His earlier hit "Chico And The Man" was also a funny television series. For pure humanity along with humor...his classic late sixties show "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" always strikes a chord plus Harry Nilsson sings that great theme song "My Best Friend".
Two cool shows in the seventies that were created from a stand-up comic's act. You should check out the nearly twenty minute monologue from Gabe Kaplan's album that became the outline for "Welcome Back Kotter". So funny.

Good to be back, Senor Godfatha. This was a challenging spiritual exercise. I'm just touching down after spending time in the 7th dimension, communing with the ether and ascended funk masters. Here endeth the meditation time.

**Andrea** I believe the theme to American Hero went #1
also: Welcome Back Kotter is actually a cover song, does anybody know who did the original? (I don't have the answer)

This song reminds me of the theme for Room 222 which reminds me of "Here Comes Sunshine", which reminds me to turn on the music to get Kotter out of my head....
I've been in Georgia with a very limited connection, a whopping 44kbps, so the boycott was only half the reason I haven't been around....If Mog behaved any better and didn't persist with it's "charming irregularities" I'm not really sure if it could be quite so loveable, but I'm here for the interim regardless ;)
What is the release date for 2.75 anyway?

thanks for the welcome -> I only lasted a half week -> I saw the point of the strike, and agreed, but missed my friends on MOG, and came back -> it's not a website, it's a second home -> But I did notice that a lot of the problems I experienced before I left still remian ->
with that said, you, and Mogpatrick, and a bunch of others I'm sure I've not been introduced to, all pulled together to fix a big personal problem with my email alerts and new email account -> So -> thanks. -> it may have taken longer than I would have liked, but remember -> "Prayers are answered in God's timing, not yours."
