i hear you. i remeber the first time i heard dear mr. fantasy ... blew my mind.
This is excellent. BTW, did you check the ticket prices for the Clapton/Winwood shows? The two I had on hold were $375 with all the BS tix charges -- not even that great. I bailed and will try to get one lowball on Craig's list right before the show. The upkeep on their castles must be a killer!
I am big on Wolfgang's vault, too. Some guilty pleasure there (ABC live in 1982 anyone?).

i really enjoyed the clapton/winwood show, especially when winwood stepped up on guitar, totally underrated on that instrument
