WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Zune vs Ipod

Posted over 2 years ago
The iPod and all its iterations remain the best-selling digital music device in the history of the universe. Microsoft tried to launch an attack a year ago with his Zune player, but due to a number of reasons, including that they insisted in making a brown one,it left the gate slowly and was roundly ridiculed by some. However, Microsoft was apparently listening. The brown Zune has been flushd and some new features have been added. In fact, if you do an apples-to-apples comparison between the two devices,http://www.informationweek.com/blog/main/archives/2007/11/zune_vs_ipod_wh.html you'll see that the race has tightened up. Still, the iPod has fetishitic iconic status with the general public. That'll be hard to overcome. The one thing the Zune has over the iPod, however, is the fact that it features a built-in FM tuner. According to a study by Jacobs Media, the most wished-for feature in an MP3 player is a--wait for it--radio!http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/04/03/ipod_demand_poll/

  1. walkingthecow says i have yet to use a zune. but i can see how adding more features would intrigue the PC fan that is seeking a music player.

  2. dachmo says Radio does nothing for me, not a feature I care about. I am getting tired of Apple introducing a brand new iPod every 6 months. I know it's all about the Benjamins but my 2 year old Ipod which was top of the line at the time looks like beat up Packard compared to this months model.
