iTunes Social Music Network "Ping"

Apple released iTunes 10 today with social network features. You can follow artists, follow your friends, see what they are listening to and what they bought on iTunes, show what events you are going to, and Like things. There is no streaming service, obviously, because iTunes promotes its own pay-per-song format. There is no news magazine and no blogs or posts. You and others can comment. All in all, it sounds like it has pulled together some features from Facebook's iLike and some that are similar to last.fm. I didn't use lala.com so can't compare.

Uhh...total coincidence? You probably remember when MOG had a Facebook app - it brought new people to MOG but had some performance issues. Interesting to see who the "competition" is now.
