Some of you are aware I've been planning a long-distance seduction - er, I mean MOG MEET - for some time now. Time flies when you're having fun...a year of Mog mail and two months of serious flirtation have landed my Most Trusted Mogger, Robin H, on my doorstep!Robin and I couldn't help but hit it off when we both noticed each other's Miyazaki avatars - he is Totoro and I am Shishigami - which led to our first contact. We soon discovered we had musically come of age at the same time and have a vast shared history of punk and metal, especially first-wave UK punk and NWOBHM, as well as old-school rock like Thin Lizzy and UFO. Whenever we emailed each other, we kept hitting that reply button long after the subject was exhausted, and it seemed there was a definite spark there. Unfortunately, being an English gentlemen and a polite Canadian, it took a while for either of us to "crack" and get real personal, but suffice to say, it eventually happened, and a transatlantic meet-up transpired!I'm going to go sketchy on the details, but this says it all: we were so confident we'd hit it off, that we both booked off two weeks' vacation to enjoy each other's company. We're now on Day 3 of "sightseeing," "going to shows," and "watching concert DVDs" ;) I know I will not be wanting to see this Mog Meet end, and the future is oh so bright.I'll leave off by saying: life is luscious, Thanks MOG!, and go visit Robin's page!http://mog.com/RobinH/blog_post/166325

Wow, that's fantastic news, Darla (and Robin). But why did a grammarian such as yourself choose to coach the following phrases in inverted commas: "sightseeing," "going to shows," and "watching concert DVDs". Are you being euphemistic?!
"Yes."
That's awesome Dar...I have seen his avatar, but never looked at it closely...It is Totoro. My nieces are ADDICTED to Totoro, and I am ADDICTED to Miyazaki.
Sounds like it was a great day.
Ha-ha! Good for you guys!
