Mogger RobinH and I found sparks flying between us on MOG about a year ago and decided to step it up a notch. After 3 months of daily musical and non-musical musings, on MogMail and personal email, we felt a deep bond between us and decided to meet in person. So last June, we each booked off a two-week holiday and Robin set off from the UK to Canada to meet me. We had firmly fallen in love in pixel-land but, of course, needed non-virtual confirmation. We got it, and how! We spent every minute together for the two weeks and have been a couple ever since. We've visited back and forth across the sea every other month, met each other's families, toured each other's home towns, and of course, scoped out each other's music collections. I am pleased to announce that there is now a MOG marriage in the works! This Saturday, June 27, we will be wed and will begin a new life together. Ah, the music and merriment that awaits us!
Robin will begin the process of immigrating to Canada, which is expected to last 6 or 8 months. Meanwhile, we will have to be long-distance newlyweds and continue our transatlantic visits.
When each of us signed on to MOG over two years ago, we were both looking for musical companionship, but never imagined it would take this direction. So now I would like to say "Hats off to MOG" for making the whole thing possible!
