Hello, hello.
Alright.
'I'm Not There' is a weird but wonderful film, and seeing it would be a good idea, methinks.
Other than that, I have nothing to say, really.
Flogging Molly is an interesting band, I've concluded, and the random Bob Dylan reference in 'Drink & Fight' made me very happy, and very freaked out, as I'd been listening to 'Don't Think Twice, It's Alright' excessively at the time.
I'm going through a bit of a Bob Dylan phase, if you can't tell.
OH, speaking of, Richie Havens is pretty great. He plays a good guitar, and I've never heard a better cover version of 'Here Comes the Sun'.
I'm rambling, and I know it.

Being a Stephen Malkmus's fan, I'll have to say this is quite respectable cover. Albeit a bit too respectful perhaps. -- It's hard to grasp the "throat" of that thin man.
I'm not familiar with Richie Havens's version of "Here Comes The Sun." Could you please elaborate on what makes his such a great version?
I'm looking forward to watching 'I'm not there' on DVD. Going to read Dylan's biography again first so I understand the film a little better this time. I got the Woodie Guthrie reference at the beginning but I'm sure a lot of the rest of the film was lost on me.

OKAY, Richie Havens, & his version.
I like it because:
1. It's not over-simplified, but it's still simple.
2. The guitar work at the beginning is thoroughly enjoyable.
3. It's very distinct from the original, and
4. I like Richie Havens!
With regards to 'I'm Not There,' I assume I missed most of the point of the film as well.
I understood & enjoyed the Jude Quinn parts, and I got the Jack Rollins stuff, and the rest I could make a few assumptions about, but regardless of what each thing was referring to, I loved the film.
I may snag myself a copy of his biography myself, now!
