I know shocking isn't it!
actually I was just down visiting an old friend in tacoma and have become fed up with the lifestyle of the young professional. From what I see it's all about appearences and sex. I sat bored out of my skull as my friend flirted with a barista and carried on conversations about cosmetic surgury and tanning. No man should know anything about lotion! Then of course came the lieing , idle boasting and game playing that has been made popular by the hip hop generation. Fuck man am I weird that I wanna have honest conversations about real things instead of meaning less conversations about shit that dosn't matter. Maybe I'm strange but maybe I just don't worship the god of greed and lust. maybe as they say in fight club "Ive evolved and let the chips fall where they may" I don't tan work out or have unprotected sex with many anonimous parteners. I play guitar and study culture and scociology just for fun. And Ive lerned that there are creators and consumers and the consumer is always a slave to the creator. Consumers pay tribute to their god. The god of trend the god of fashion the god who is meaningless distraction. so yes your god is dead and no one cares!

Right on I agree. check out my post of bad religion's epiphany a good song. kmfdm is an acronym of a German phrase when translated means "no pity for the majority" just dropping some knowledge..
not everyone is as shallow as yr friend has become. most people (especially here on MOG) prefer meaningful conversation and intellectual stimulus. yr friend sounds very "metrosexual" which is the hip thing for men these days. but i never dreamed of it occuring in Tacoma! weird!
yeah your right. course thats one of the reasons I mog rather than blogging on my space or facebook. people here do tend to be smarter and more well rounded. I'm just glad to be home again far away from the metro lifestyle that baffles me.

We are all a little bit of both, danse, creators and consumers, that is. So it goes, though, with old friends, they always outgrow each other, but sometimes they grow back into each other, too. It sounds like your friend was being a complete douche, and there are no doubt way too many people out there who can't think beyond their genitals, but virtually everybody gets over that at some point, so I'm sure you'll be having good times in Tacoma again before you know it.
well I guess his recent divorce has in some ways addled his brain, but searching for meaning at starbucks is like looking for great snowboarding in arizona, it's just not there.
