The Graveyard Shift: Special friday the 13th edition Part1

Posted over 1 year ago

Good evening moggers. Tonight I have decided to do somthing special and just write a couple short little bits of a story I might actually work on later. Anyway I'll attempt to put these paragraphs to music and make a multimedia extravaganza of it. If you havn't read my last post your gonna be a little lost so take a couple seconds and catch yourself up.

The night was warm, unbearably warm for a person marinating in Merlot without air conditioning. My deliberately dark ramblings of the afternoon had taken on an air of drunken insanity and playful masochisim. I was writing the narritive of my own self destruction, an incredibly obtuse and overly literary scuicide note that was almost incomprehensible in it's unending disregard for proper grammer, spelling, and punctuation. Like a written version of a Jackson Pollock painting. I heard her come in and for a split second I hoped she had remembered the vodka. My realist side knew that was an unrealistically idealistic thought and shut it down quickly. I wanted to go to her, to say I was sorry, to be held and comforted like when we were first dating. My pride and anger stirred against her "She did this!" my drunken mind mocked me with visions of her having a wonderful night out. In the shadows another man lurked. She was going to him. She was fucking him! No, there will be no forgiveness and no apologies. "Did you drink all my wine baby?" An innocent enough question posed while looking around the doorframe. "Not yet" I replied lifting the bottle to my lips and chugging the remainder. "Now I did." Her eyes flashed " God you are such an ASS!" She slammed the door hard and stomped away down the hall to watch TV and sulk. I smiled bitterly to myself "Score one!" In retrospect I have no idea why I thought that was a point scored but at the time it seemed a small victory.

I kinda stumbled across Live again when I was searching for a track to go with this. It's been a long time since I listened to Live and Throwing Copper was also one of my favorite albums in highschool.
