MTV Movie awards (half time review)

Posted over 2 years ago

I usually never watch mtv unless it's jackass style programs. NOW I fully understand why.

This shit is among the most retarded, akward, untalented thing I have ever seen and yes I have seen napoleon dynamite. between unimpassioned musical preformances and half assed stupid speeches. When JIm carry is the most talented person there you know it's bad. not only that but the winners of most awards were obviously picked by twelve year old girls who were either emo or cheerleaders. Mtv even made a lame attempt at controvercy by having sasha baron cohen piss off eminem (like eminem being pissed off is news) If I had any hope at all that future generations would be able to fix things and carry on the human race it is now smashed. Children aren't our future they are the cause of our extinction. Apparently the movie Idiocracy was right and pretty soon were gonna be too dumb to survive any longer. so I guess this is it. we had a pretty good species there for a while but i guess it's time to go extinct. Yep thats right folks there's no apocalypse, No armageddon, just a slowly declineing sentiance ending we we forget to breath and feed ourselves. Thanks mtv for the doomsday report!

I think back to what I was wearing / listening to / interested in when I was in my teens (obviously MTV's demographic) and I think there's still some hope they will wise-up by the time they start voting and trying to make world changes.

    Lets hope.

somtimes I'll sit down and try to watch a little mtv just to kinda see whats cool in school these days. But after last night I think I'll stop that. I guess Ive finally crossed the generation gap. wish those damn kids would get off my lawn!

I know what you mean. I stumbled on some MTV programming and even Canada's equivalent (Much Music) and it would be laughable if it weren't so tragic how superficial they all seem. A bunch of giggling school girls and frat boy try-hards with inflated senses of self. It's hard to admit, but as I quickly approach 30 it becomes a stretch to call myself a 'young adult' still. It's funny how I still think of myself as fresh out of High School when I've already graduate from college. Now that I've mumbled 'damn kids' under my breath and didn't mean it in the ironic sense, I guess I've cross the generation gap as well.

    sigh

yeah it sucks getting old. But the real trajedy was that actors like will farrel, and ben stiller, are older than us and even their antics were half assed and poorly executed. Even triumph the insult comic dog was off his game last night. it's like the whole freakin place took a bunch of downersbefore they went on stage. I mean I remember some stuff from back in the 90's that was incredable. Green Day playing drunk! MM covering surrender! naked hijinks with blink 182! all good stuff that was watchable. Last night was so akward it made me squirm, but I watched it cause I knew it'd give me good material for a mog. so here we are! beating a dead horse like so many television news anchors.
