Nine Inch Nails, amazing as usual.
Um. first of all...here is pretty photo that i did some stuff to in photoshop. I didn't' have a great angle but here it is----trent in the flesh...
First of all...THE BAND RULES RIGHT NOW. SO BAD. Robin Finck--welcome back! Oh how everyone has missed you, and along with Trent--you're looking healthy and strong!
Then there is the always dependable Alessandro Cortini on the keyboards, and Josh Freese on the drums.
...and who is the bass player with the sick fro?
Is that the dude that plays with BECK? ....YEAH! Justin Meldal Johnson, JMJ. HAHAHAH. this is great!
As always, the light show was amazing, I can't even describe the lights with words, but here are three:
Trent, Vampire, Teeth.
Do with this what you will...
The show was of course mostly songs from The Slip, but Trent always delivers -- every old favorite: Head Like a Hole, March of Pigs, Hurt, Closer, and then a really nice moment in the middle of the show with instrumental tracks from GHOSTS.
This isn't so much a concert review, as it is just an expression of my sheer delight at being able to experience this show.
Yes. Trent is one person I never want to meet. I would be a raving lunatic.
At every show when he addresses the audience with his breathy voice: "Hey Pigs..."--I think I die a little inside...in a good way.
Last Friday he yelled out to us: "GET UP PIGS!
I nearly passed out...

Thanks for the review. And excellent shot.
\mmm/
i think if i saw them live i'd probably become a fanatic. how'd the beck bass player hook up with the NIN crew? ha his 'fro is unmistakeable!
Truly the tour of the year. The visuals are the best traveling art installation to travel the world in many a moon, Robin is indeed a big welcome back, and with Justin joining Josh, the band now officially has the best rhythm section in rock. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
now i feel like curling up in a fetal position and rocking back and forth because I haven't seen this show.
why does he address the crowd as pigs...?
i think it's since the earlier days there were songs referencing pigs.
he could call me whatever and it'd be okay...
....ah....
