That Will Oldham (aka Bonny Prince Billy, nee Palace Music, Palace Songs, Palace Brothers and just plain old Palace) isn't on the list is a bit of surpise. Neutral Milk Hotel, who is on the list, is among my most listened-to bands. Another worth checking out is The Broken Family Band: indie, but not in a lo-fi sense. More like a British Calexico-meets-16 Horsepower with a sprinkling of Clem Snide.
