Ettienne's farewell show at the Rickshaw Stop was a time warp to 1998 (or before). Images of that old man soft shoe-ing to Ettienne at the Ivy Room danced through my head (Whatever happened to that guy? Why didn't he ever ask me to dance?) Many a night at Bruno's. The Stork Club with C.O.B. The sweet voice and the sweet man will be missed. We wish him and his beautiful family all the best as they journey to Ettienne's southern homelands. Oh, and did I mention the farewell show rocked? Great tunes, great guests, lots of good old friends to remember with. Thanks, Ettienne. We'll miss you.
