nah, ya gotta wait to see the final results. Anything less than a 5% win by Clinton is a victory for Obama, since six weeks ago he was down by 20 points. Though Clinton will spin a victory as meaning Obama can't win big states, even after outspending her by a two to one margin.

Well, he figured it would go this way, but I figured different. Hell, I was positive Bush was going to lose in 2000!

d* tell me about it... let alone 2004...

Chris & Jennifer* I am optimistic that he may still pull this out - I know I voted for him & all the folks who supported him in the primaries... I can't even go to a place where HC is the candidate for the Dem party... Obama is FOR ME the only choice !!!

10 point margin at 10:15 pm...

yo lizzie does that mean if Hillary is the Dem candidate your gonna vote for McCain? And you're only the second woman I know who voted for Obama. (My wife being the other)

Not a chance... I have never & don't ever see myself voting for a Republican candidate, I just feel that for the first time in a REALLY long time we have a candidate we can believe in, in Obama (Momma B voted for him as well) & I really like who he is as a person & for what he stands.

Hilary lied about her support of the war, and I lost total faith in her. She said she didn't want to go to war yet she voted to go to war... I've always stood on the side that it's not our war & we should never have gotten so deeply involved, but to watch her lie repeatedly & now her bs smear campaign, she's really low on my list.

She's still better than McCain (me thinks).

I'm an Independent, in the past I've always voted for the candidate that I felt best about, I generally don't see myself as anything other than an independent. I'll be very disappointed if Obama doesn't get the nod, if it ends up Clinton v McCain I will probably still vote Dem but the only tipping point for me would be that I'd like to see a woman in the office.

LGE - Hillary has been caught in a few doozies, thats true. Does she really even have a relationship with Bill? If she does end up getting the nod she better ask Gore to be her running mate (if he's allowed to do that) that would make her chances of beating McCain better.

I totally agree with that ticket, if I am stuck with the witch, I want Gore to soften the blow. I had such high hopes for him & even he let us down...

OBAMA - that's who I want as my president for the next 8 years !!!

wow, Clinton-Gore, part 2.

Here's my quesiton if Hillary wins....if she is Pres and Bill is First Husband, what kind of mischief will he get into without a full time job? He's gonna be all over the day to day operations of the place. I dunno if I'm ready for that kind of us vs. them thinking that permeated the 90s. WHile a big chunk of that can be laid at the feet of right wingers like Mellon-Scaife, the CLintons fought back in their own scorched earth campaign.

Here an ideal: Obama-Gore, or Gore-Obama.

Hellz yeah that is a twosome I can get behind rather happily - the Obama Gore would be a grand ticket.

I wore my VOTE GREEN shirt to vote today - just in case anyone was wondering ;)

that's FUNNY!! Hillary is maniacal, she really just wants to go down in history as the first women president I don't think she's really interested in the rest of it.

Not that the picture does it justice. But I suspect Hill has had a little tuck here and there. Her face is just not quite right.

bitch and moan all you like but i KNEW my girl could do it! go team hillary. and obama can kiss my ass. i've already sat through 8 years of pandering to the right. i'm not willing to sit through 4 more with obama. though, if push comes to shove and my choices come down to obama or mccain, i'll go obama. i won't be happy about it, but i'll do what's best for the party...

Golly. If that's the case then we'll really be screwed if she becomes prez, wont we?

Regardless, a woman and a black man getting this far in the game is really cool. Look at the advancements America's made in civil rights in the lat 100 years... pretty impressive track record.

(I really dig this thread and I imagine lots of other interesting ones will be poppin up as the election looms ever closer)

If Obama doesn't win she'll get my vote but I honestly think the better candidate is the black dude over the chick or the old guy!

Ditto, and this whole "turning the tide" rhetoric is absurd by Hill. How can you turn the tide in elections/primaries that have already happened? Nonesensical?!

I said this before on another site but both the Clinton's and the Bush's are very close privately, the fact that they're from different party's holds no bearing on how they ran they're offices. Their ties go back to before Bill was gov of Ark, and though we don't see it are still there today. One of Hillary's big guys working on her campaign just got the boot because it leaked out that he was also working for Pres Bush, that wasn't an oversight by her staff because they're all part of the same machine. Oy! and I'm not a political person!
