Lest us not forget, if it wasn't for our need to praise god on our own terms we may never have had the chance to slaughter all those kindly Indians.

Happy Turkey Day!

Lacto Ovo Vegie! That's pretty strict, never had the tofurky myself. I was a Vegetarian for most of my 20's. Nobody I knew was one either which made it very hard for me to avoid, and the butt of a lot of jokes. I was much healthier and happier back then too. I'm not sure I could go total lacto ovo though. Eating the flesh of another animal is one thing But injesting their bodily fluids and unfertilized embryos is another. (your right, it's enough to make me sick just thinking about it)

We especially need to fry that particular set of giblets.

I wonder if they add artificial tryptophan to further enhance the allure of the already mouth-watering tofurkey... ;)

Cheers!

I was just trying to incite a riot, I unfortunately love the taste of food too much, I always looked at my vegetarian days as me being very healthy, and I was, it really didn't have anything to do with a repulsion for the flesh or my want to keep them bacon cheeseburgers alive. Though I can't drink milk anymore without wanting to gag.

ugh milk. it always taste sour. unless freezing cold or in a nice cup of tea.

you want a repulsion ........ well here ya go, delivered by Ms. Anderson herself.

Actually I was a vegetarian in my early 20's as well. Even though I love meat now, I still think I eat too much of it, and I do care about the life conditions of the animals that I eat. For me it's not so much about the killing of another being, I mean think about it, if everyone all of a sudden stopped eating meat, there would be a lot of dead animals, cows basically cannot live in natural conditions. I think it is more about the quality of life they are given, as appropriate for cows (to take them as an example).

Anyways, I'm definitely going to be enjoying some turkey tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving Dach

KFC always smells so good then after you start to chow down the meat just tastes so un-naturally soft. I'm guessing thats from the growth hormone they're given which can't be good for us to digest either.

Yeah the Turkey should be good, looking forward to the cup of coffee and piece of apple pie I'll be having afterwards even more.

Have fun with your family Nick!

The disgust vegetarians feel for meat comes through loud & clear in the ghastly pseudo-meat products they design and ingest.

(Can you imagine carnivores eating tacky fake vegetables made out of meat?)
