This movie represents a defining moment in my life, my first date. Not only was it a good movie but what a freakin amazing soundtrack it has. Thankfully they finally cleared up whatever legal issues they had with it and re-released it back in the late '90s. God bless 'em.

  3. ZeppoNoir says For me as well this movie changed how I looked at my young life. When this movie came out I knew where I belonged; with the "weird kids" who listened to the "weird music". Plus it gave me a whole new appreciation for parachute pants w/ Chuck Taylors and the Plimsols. One for the dvd collection along with Repo Man.

  4. dachmo says I love the way parachute pants just made your legs sweat in the middle of winter. They melted if you threw them in the dryer. What, and they were popular for about six weeks? I can't imagine what we're going to be laughing about 20 years from now. And "hell yes" to Repo Man, I'd play some Suicidal Tendencies but I already posted on them a few weeks ago.

  5. ZeppoNoir says Speaking of movies, do you remember a punker movie called "Suburbia", came out in 83-84 I think. If you ever see the video or the soundtrack (probably still only on vinyl) GRAB IT! Great stuff. TSOL, Vandals and DI on side one and side two is all score. I loaned my copy out years ago and it was gone forever. Sniff. I'll never forgive myself.

  6. dachmo says Yes, is that the one about junkies and little space aliens?

  7. ZeppoNoir says I don't think so, that sounds like RepoMan. In RM there was an alien in the trunk of a car all the repomen were after. From what I remember about Suburbia, the story was kinda edgy for the time. A bunch of punks squating in an old house doing punky stuff, going to to shows and quaffing their mohawks. It was actually halfway decent from what I remember.
