Harold and Maude on my mind

Maude: Harold, everyone has the right to make an ass out of themselves. You just can't let the world judge you too much.

  1. ZeppoNoir says Ruth Gordon was incredible in this movie. Did you ever see her in My Bodyguard? Great movie with Matt Dillon playing the bully (as usual). The scene in Harold & Maude that left a huge impression on me was when Maude died and Cat's song Trouble comes on as Harold has his breakdown. Powerful scene.

  3. ZeppoNoir says Not seen the movie I take it? Go. Rent. Watch. Worth the $3.50 at the video store.

  4. dachmo says Oh, that is my fault. It was just a random post. I'm probably a bigger movie buff than I am a music geek. I put up something like "Harold and Maude" and just assume everyone's already clued in. Sorry. I'm working on something that made me think of the movie "Rushmore" which in turn always makes me think of "H and M". Once there I started thinking in terms of Cat Stevens who did the score for the movie, hence, my post. Like Zeppo said if you get a chance this movie is worth 2hrs of your time. Here's a little synopsis to start you off: 20 year old Harold falls in love with 80 year old Maude and they have an affair.

  5. ZeppoNoir says Plus I love that Harold is this suicidal young guy and Maude is so in love with life. Totally opposite ends of the spectrum in every way, but yet they are drawn to each other.
