  2. Augusts1 says OH MY GOD! "Low-Life" was my intro to NO & still my fave album of theirs! I bought it sheerly on the basis of the LP artwork w/o knowing anything about them or even knowing who they were. I figured an album that looked that cool had to be some pretty f'ing cool music as well. Boy was I right on the money w/that one. "Sunrise" is my fave song on the album as well. Never heard either of the other songs before.

  3. Misstee says where did you find that Secession video? I don't believe I've heard that song since it was released...do you have the WLIR/WDRE playlists from 1980 to 1989?

  6. brendanhalpin says I always liked New Order, but jeez, all these dour guys with synths. I don't know how they could make such depressive jaunty dance pop.

  7. Jammy Jeff says "Love Song" was a disco staple for about 3 or 4 years in my home town. Every club you went to was banging it out. Still a great Dance record, but I didn't know there was a video for it! What a great find Dachmo.

  9. goodmusiconly says Love this album so much (though Power Corruption & Lies, being the first one I fell for, is on the same level for me). I feel lucky I saw them on this tour. And wow, haven't heard that Secession tune in many moons!

  11. goodmusiconly says Not as bad, but it's still hanging on ... and unfortunately I'm locked into a five mile hike uphill in snowshoes tomorrow... I hope to have a flask of schnapps and a stretcher close by. :P

  13. goodmusiconly says ummm ... apparently I am a sucker for punishment? I got roped into it a month ago ... a group of us are hiking to a "Tenth Mountain Division":http://www.huts.org/index.html 'hut' and staying overnight (more like a nice log house in the wilderness ... see "Uncle Bud's"). Hopefully it will be fun, but to say I'm apprehensive is an understatement.
