   goodmusiconly says A friend of mine way back when was friends with Stiv Bators, and he would occasionally come to town and hang out with all of us at the bar (unfortunate that he was hit and killed by a car a couple years later). I remember him being a very tiny little guy. Haven't heard them in forever!

   dachmo says I first heard of him when he was with this band but then as my horizons expanded I realized he was actually a true punk/postpunk icon. The Deadboys, the Wanderers and his solo stuff are just FABU, baby! I totally picture him being a 98lbs anemic skinny boy. What was he like 5'4"? ;)

   goodmusiconly says hah, 98lbs and 5'4 sounds just about right ... I dunno he was probably taller than me, but not by much! His massively teased hair added a good six inches anyway. ;) At the time I only knew that he had fronted The Lords, but later found out about The Dead Boys etc. Still haven't ever heard any of his solo stuff, though. Perhaps I oughtta check it out...
