He still plays better than I could ever dream, but man is he wasted!
cancer and chemo will do that! He's lucky to still be alive
Yes, without a doubt. It was funny among all my friends of varrying ages (between 25 - 40) and musical tastes, when we would talk music, if someone dissed "Halen", it was always poo pooed. Usually, this was by younger folks, who didn't realize that these guys once moved the earth, when it came to music.
On another note, I was this close to splurging on Rock Band 2 (or was it Guitar Hero?) with the wife, and I'm sure a little drool collected at the side of my mouth seeing Van Halen as one of the song choices.
I was a DLR purist back in the '80s but then I had some friends who jammed the first two Sammy Van Halen albums down my throat, so much so that I can now admit to liking Van Hagar, but only those two albums. (5150 & OU812).
My last video game purchase might have been Yar's Revenge back in 1983, I'm a slacker to begin with so i can't imagine what my life would have been like if I stayed with them. I keep saying I'm going to pick up a Wii but I never do. I still might. I don't know.
Oh yeah...
I'd say something, but the green version of your avatar makes you look like Mr. Kryptonite and I'm too scared.
The VH with wings logo at the top of this post reminded me of a memory from childhood. I was in middle school and my friend Mark had painted his wall with said logo. Black wall, gloss red logo. I think it must have been oil-based enamel paint, because we always got mildly high from just sitting in that room.
Watching the above videos brought olfactory memories back hard. Thanks for the post.
Yes, i made Fantome sound, i begun to make album post in the 'Staring at the apocalypse' blog, and after i create mi own blog, its nice!
