h2. Daughter in the House of Fools**Enon**This Brooklyn/Philly band started with John Schmersal. John hails from the fantastic band _"Brainiac"_. When the death of Brainiacs lead singer ended the band, John joined up with Rick Lee & Steve Calhoon from the band _"Skeleton Key"_ to record under the name _**Enon**_. Their first album _Believo!_ ('99) had a real run of the mill NYC indie rock sound to it and didn't really go anywhere. By the time the second Enon album came out Schmersal had radically changed the sound of the band by losing Calhoon and bringing in Toko Yasuda to share vocals and play bass. _"High Society"_ ('02) sounded almost like two bands sharing the same disc. Schmersal would do the vocals for one song then Yasuda would take over for the next. Where Schmersals songs were more guitar driven Yasuda's were more about electronic beats and dial twiddling. As it turned out the songs she sang on were the ones that got the most attention. They followed suit with the next album _"Hocus Pocus"_ ('03) to greater effect. The band soon left Brooklyn and headed to Philly (as many New Yorkers are doing these days) but in doing so they became a duo losing their drummer, Rick Lee, for cheaper rent. In 2005 they released an album of B-sides and internet only releases then started for the studio to write and record for their fourth studio effort that's reported to drop in the Fall of 2007.

Very interesting. Liked the video, checked out their MySpace and found that they will be in Philly at Johnny Brenda's on Nov. 14th. I just may go!
