I'm trying to think of what I was doing between the years 1999 and 2005. Because for some reason I missed out on this band while they were still together.**Mclusky** are 3 Welsh guys who must've listened to alot of the early work of fellow Welshmen _Manic Street Preachers_. To create their own sound they threw in some _Quicksand_ and a dash of _Helmet_. Between 2000 and 2004 they released 3 albums, with _Steve Albini_ on to produce their second album the highly acclaimed **Mclusky Do Dallas**. In 2005 they decided to dissolve the band leaving their fans in mourning. They later found some solace when the bass player moved to Australia and reformed a side project he was in called _"Shooting At Unarmed Men"_. That'll be different post.

Somhow, I knew I'd like this. Powerful but paced. This tune is on the "One Tree Hill" colletion. And it looks like they played em on my great local alt college station WOXY (97X). The final day playlist showtune called "Without MSG, I Am Nothing". Nice touch. Thanks Dach!

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I just can't see how a band with a sound like theirs didn't blow up over here. Maybe they just weren't interested in an American market, who knows?
Hey D, I just now discovered these guys. Talk about a late bloomer! I think there's an element of Pixies in their sound as well as the harder rock of early Modest Mouse and Therapy? too. I love 'To Hell w/good intentions', awesome song. I just happened upon it on Poebegone's post about the group Headphone while watching a vid of theirs from youtube. Then I did a quick search here & saw your post.
