Yesterday was my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. And since I am a horrible person and chronic procrastinator, I didn't finish the mix CD I was going to make for him. So I'm diligently working on it now. My little brother has alll this new music on his iPod that he's acquired without my knowledge, and I'm (fittingly) listening to Magnetic Fields, 69 Love Songs (all 69 of them). Some of them have great lyrics, but just don't sound good to me. There are a few though that are perfect. "Let's Pretend We're Bunny Rabbits" is absolutely infectious. I'm starting to sort of see a pattern here, in artists who have love as a big theme for their songs. So far I have Air and Magnetic Fields, but I wish I could find more. I love love songs. Like Animal Collective's "The Purple Bottle" or Dusty Springfield's "I Only Want To Be With You" that convey the perfect sense of being so in love, you feel like your heart's about to burst. So this post was pretty much pointless, I just love those songs, tell me if you do too!
