I am sometimes inspired by strange things. This time I was inspired by I am's post about two different posts. He posted a song called "Abendigo" by the Abyssians, which mad eme think of "Shadrack" by The Beastie Boys.
So I offer you this challenge, a whisper down the lane if you will. I'm going to post a well known song and let's see how far we can take it in the reference department. Upload a song in your post. Your post can reference the original or one of the referencee's songs. Let's see how obscure you can get. Post your explanation with it.
I'll begin with "Bo Diddley" by Bo Diddley

Since I threw down the gauntlet, I felt up to the challenge myself. I got to relisten to this Animals song, and I'll be damned if it isn't an early account of the "Bo Diddley Rhythym" in rock, but pretty damn funny too. The Trifecta, a reference of a reference in a reference. My heads going to explode, the wormhole has just gotten bigger...

And of course who could forget "Not Fade Away" by Buddy Holly.
