Possibly one of the greatest art/rock experiments of the past 30+ years, The Resident, have done some fantastic albums, using the medium of pop music as their brush, they have skewered the convention and turned popular music on it's head in their own bizarre, ironic before ironic was cool way. It is still a mystery of who The Residents actually are, a feat even more admirable in this "I need to know everything" age of the internet.
Nobody covers artist quite like The residents do - their covers are both tongue and cheek, and reverential at the same time. It's sometimes hard to tell whether someone is winking at you or just blinking when, after all, they're really just an eyeball.
