An appeal to the weather gods

Posted over 2 years ago
Apparently tornado's are touching down all over the place. My co-workers laugh and shrug it off. "Welcome to South Florida," they say. Atlanta was different. Tornado's touched down north of the city, but always seemed to miss the city. Weird to be governed by the environment again. We have needed the rain, desperately. I'm glad to see it, my darker side a little fed up with all the sunshine. I watch the weather map on my computer,in my windowless office, wondering when it's safe to drive home. I've talked to my wife and she knows where to take our son if they hear a "train like" sound outside. So this is what it's like to live near the ocean.

  1. kellywatchthestars says I know what you mean. It's "Earthquake Awareness Month" here in Oregon. Being a New Englander, I know all about hurricanes and blizzards (no tornados, though). But earthquakes? That's a completely foreign concept to me.
