It must be frankly said that this is not the Ig's finest hour as a vocalist - not awful, just not up to his usual standards - but the band cooks along nicely behind him. The Happy Mondays-ish beat works quite well....
The back up band is actually Medeski, Martin, and Wood. I actually liked the album quite a bit, but it's probably not for people who aren't true Iggy fans. Very different.
