  3. contrabandwidth says Any sorta "How To" or just people talking about how they do their job I find fascinating. Especially artists telling me what kind of pens or paper they use. I guess because it used to be so hard to find that stuff out. Cé La Vie...

  4. contrabandwidth says I could understand that in some rare instances (like if you had patented something), but over all that's just silly. Understandable, but silly. I have characters that are so much a part of me, that if some one took did something with them, I would probably be devastated. It's probably just a fear that someone will do something with your creation, and get more credit for it. Kind of the Bo Diddley syndrome.

  5. fistula spume says It's weird but a lot of artists in my town treat knowledge like trade secrets and in the last two weeks I've had at least 3 people give me some practical helpful advice. Most artists usually front attitude so that was a rare treat.

  6. Bartleby says I've seen this incredible video by Blue perhaps half a dozen times now but the magic still works. It's really mind-blowing... Your "I Love Process" is well worth a detour too. (I really like your comments on Blue and his way of addressing spaces and planes).

  7. Rawkkiddoh says Simply incredible. I am such a huge fan of graffiti art, and this is the first time I have seen this before. I am going to add another video for you to watch, the lyrics and the content go hand in hand and I found it cool just how quickly a group of artists can bomb a train.

  8. contrabandwidth says I love graffiti art as well, and I think there's some people who are evolving the art form, as well as bringing their own originality to it as well. But I do see an unfortunate co-opting of the movement by the "art world" which I dislike greatly. I love people like Banksy, Shepard Fairey, and (isn't your avatar by) Koz, but I think they are keeping it alive and vibrant, and pushings it's boundaries. I would say the book "Bomb The Suburbs" by Upski, should be required reading in schools. It never will be, but it is inspiring. That video is bad ass, and your dropping a lot of Atmosphere on me recently, which I appreciate, because I'd actually never heard of them until your last post. Consider me curious. I will be finding this album.

  9. Rawkkiddoh says Its good stuff, Atmosphere just came out with their new album and it is pretty bad ass. The song in the video is from a four part EP series titles Sad Clown. They are worth the buy, my favorite has to be Sad Clown Bad Summer thought. One of the songs has opening lyrics that goes....... Uh Huh, her name was Stephanie something She lived out in Richfield, Right off of Portland I'm talkin' bout back in the 9th grade Still had a ponytail, Couldn't grow a hi fade Why do I like that song, well my wifes name is stephanie, we live off of protland which in turn means we live in Richfield. Sad Clown Bad Winter has a song about when he got held up while working in a gas station in Richfield, same gas station I fuel up at.

  10. contrabandwidth says It's good to hear all these non LA or NYC hip hop groups finally getting heard. It shows how universal and regional specific at the same time hip hop can be.

  11. poebegone says there was a time i had a blog each at Blogspot, Wordpress, LiveJournal and maintained active accounts at Flickr, Technorati and del.icio.us, and co-blogged with my then-boyfriend at Lomo. yikes. to simplify, i had the same username for all and what finally got me to stop was i Googled that username one day and there i was, ubiquitously all over Google. (so much so that one mogger found my music-infested Blogspot blog and that was how i got invited to mog. ;D) ps- off-topic and weeks late but belated happy birthday, Tyler!
